Modern education has rejected fundamental differences between men and women, differences which, rather than be suppressed, ought to indicate to us the positive role of relationship and complementarity in the Divine Plan.
The founders of St Edith Stein School for Girls have established a high school which seeks to do more than merely imitate or approximate the education of men.
Instead, we strive to create a unique and nurturing environment tailored to the needs and goals of girls entering womanhood. While authentic Christian femininity involves the general vocation to be “spouse” and “mother” in some profound way, we seek to educate each girl without presuming to determine the direction of her particular vocation.
It is our heartfelt goal for our graduates that they will be confident, skilled, and joyful young women who are ready and able to serve in whatever capacity they feel called.
